Rolling Ovens – Village Bakery is not a traditional franchise. It is launching through a Founding Partner model, designed to be fair, affordable, and realistic for people who want to run a small, independent bakery business.

The aim is simple: bring fresh, artisan-style baking to villages without local shops, while creating sustainable owner-run businesses.

What Is a Founding Partner?

A Founding Partner is one of the first operators to launch Rolling Ovens in their own protected territory. You own and run your own bakery van, operate under the Rolling Ovens brand, and follow a proven, simple operating model.

This is a partnership, not a top-down franchise. Founding Partners enter early, help shape the brand, and are not burdened with heavy ongoing fees.

The Rolling Ovens Model

Each Rolling Ovens unit is a self-contained mobile bakery designed to:

• Serve villages that no longer have shops or bakeries
• Operate reliable weekday village routes
• Take on events, markets, and premium bookings if desired
• Remain simple and manageable to run

Vans & Equipment (Standardised for Fairness)

All Rolling Ovens bakery vans are built by the same approved supplier to the same layout and specification. This ensures consistency, safety, fair resale value, and easier support across the network.

Founding Partners pay directly for their own van, meaning you own the asset outright. Typical van build cost is around £15,000, depending on final specification and supplier pricing.

Products & Baking

Rolling Ovens focuses on core bakery products such as bread, rolls, pastries, and seasonal items. Approved bakery wholesalers may be used, including frozen or part-baked dough, with finishing and baking carried out on the van.

This keeps the model accessible, reduces waste, and avoids unrealistic overnight baking demands.

Territories & Protection

Each Founding Partner is allocated a protected territory. We do not oversell areas or create internal competition. Routes are respected, and any future expansion is discussed rather than imposed.

Founding Partner Entry Cost

Founding Partner entry is a one-off fee of £6,000.

This covers:

• Founding Partner status
• Use of the Rolling Ovens – Village Bakery brand
• A protected territory
• Guidance on routes, suppliers, and setup
• Inclusion in the founding partner group

In addition:

• The bakery van cost is separate and paid directly to the supplier
• Founders own their van outright
• There are no aggressive ongoing royalties

As Rolling Ovens develops, a more traditional franchise model may be introduced in the future under different terms. Founding Partners enter before that stage, at a lower cost and with greater influence over how the brand grows.
